1. Church Membership – On Saturday, July 11th, 9:00 AM, we will be having a membership class. Several have already indicated a desire to join. To me, that is exciting especially in light of the pandemic and its impact on church life. If you aren’t a member but love this church, then I want to encourage you to join. By doing so, you will strengthen the church.
Also, in order to serve on our Church Board, Deacon Board, and Missions Board, membership is required. Call, text or e-mail us and we will send you the forms.
2. We hope to see you soon – “I miss you!”
We have hired a professional company to sanitize the facility. They did a deep clean on the bathrooms so it makes it easy for us to sanitize them now ourselves. We are taking every precaution to make it very safe for you to attend. If you have health issues, we want you to stay home, but if you don’t, I hope we get to see you very soon.
3. Even with the challenges we are experiencing in our nation, it’s good to stop and remember how blessed we truly are! In recognition of the July 4th holiday, we’ll have a special musical presentation as a part of the 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. services this Sunday. See it in person if you can, or watch it live at 11:30 AM on VJF Live Stream.
4. Many, many thanks for your thoughtfulness on Sunday in the ways you honored my 60 years in ministry. Your cards, gifts, and personal words of encouragement were so special. God has blessed me in many ways over those years. It is such a privilege to know and serve Him. Joyce and I love you very much.

Candidate Recommendation Instructions
VJF Members: Please prayerfully consider who you feel would be equipped to serve in a leadership position in our church and discuss with them their willingness to do so. Once you have obtained their permission, please use this form to submit their name for consideration by the Nominating Committee. The Committee will present formal nominations at the election to be held at our Annual Meeting, September 20, 2020.
Please submit the form in a sealed envelope to the church office or to any member of the Nominating Committee. You may submit more than one form if you wish to recommend more than one candidate. You may submit your own name for consideration. Terms for elected positions are typically 2 years.
NOTE: In accordance with the By-Laws, floor nominations at the Annual Meeting, are not accepted; therefore; you must use this form to submit your candidate recommendation.
Complete descriptions of all elected positions are contained in the church By-Laws. Copies of the By-Laws are available in the church office.
