1. Please sign up right away for our 5th Anniversary Celebration on Friday, May 20th at 6 PM. It will be held in our Worship Center. The dinner is for regular attendees only, due to limited space. It is going to be a thrilling evening and we want you to be present. Sign up only if you plan to attend. The dinner is free to you, but we will be paying for each reservation. See Anita on Sunday morning to sign up.
2. Attention, Attention … Sunday, May 8th is Mother’s Day! We want to honor all the mothers. We had several ladies pick a very special gift for all the ladies present. That Sunday, I plan to teach “God’s Design for the Family.”
3. Church Membership – It truly is a great joy to belong to the family of God through church membership. Your commitment to Jubilee is an outward sign of showing your commitment to the work of this church in discipleship, prayer, Bible study, fellowship, and more. If you are interested in expressing your interest in church membership, please pick up a Membership Application form at the Welcome Center, complete it and turn it in to the Church Office.
4. Have you followed the LORD in Believer’s Baptism? Scripturally, water baptism is a testimony or witness of your new life in Christ. It is a step that our Savior asks us to take. If you haven’t been baptized since becoming a Christian, let’s take that step right away. You will be blessed and your Lord will be honored.
5. Would you like to be in our Choir? They are going to be rehearsing regularly now on Sundays at 4 PM. This would be the time to join. Pastor Mike has some wonderful new music. PLEASE NOTE: THERE WILL BE NO CHOIR PRACTICE THIS SUNDAY, MOTHER’S DAY.
6. Ventura County Pregnancy Center has hired a Medical Director. This is a long-awaited answer to prayer. The VCPC is now seeking to fill a few positions, if interested, contact the Church Office.
7. New Women’s Bible Study – “Where Do We Go From Here?” by Dr. David Jeremiah. We already have over 40 women signed up for this study, which covers major issues we are facing in our schools, our communities, our state, and of course, our nation! There is plenty of time to still sign up. See Carolyn Morales for a study book, $10. Bible Study takes place on Wednesdays at 10 AM.
8. Jubilee’s Grief Support Group, under the leadership of Certified Grief Counselor, Paul Lenderman, will be meeting next week: Tuesday, 05/10 at 4 PM in the church Conference Room.
9. We will soon do an update for our Church Directory. If you would like to have your picture in the directory and/or have any changes that need to be made, please complete a green Church Directory Revision Card, at your earliest convenience. The revised directory will be updated on your devices as the changes are made; however, if you would like a hard copy, they will be made available by mid-June.
