1. VJF invites and encourages church membership. Did you know, that our membership exceeds 260 active folks? Yes! Most are active in some ministry or service … not just for Jubilee, but for the Lord through their activities in the church. So many gifts and talents are being shared and you too can join the army of servants. It truly is rewarding to be a member of the VJF family. We plan to have our next membership class on Saturday, June 4th. If you are interested, complete a Membership Application form, found on the Welcome Center table.
2. Baptism is an outward sign of a born-again believer. “As soon as Jesus was baptized, he came up out of the water. Heaven was opened and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on Him.” Matt.3:16. If you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior and want to share your joy in the Lord, through baptism, let the pastors know. Let us rejoice with you.
3. Prayer Point is scheduled for Wednesday, June 8th at 6 PM. We want to invite our entire church family to come together for an hour of intense “seeking the Lord” through prayer. We will be praying for whatever personal need you may have. Use one of the yellow prayer cards to write down your request. Then, place it in one of the baskets on the tables as you enter or exit the sanctuary. During the evening, our Deacons will anoint with oil and pray for those who have a need for any kind of healing.
4. Please plan to vote in the June 7th election. I believe, as Christians, we have a responsibility to exercise this freedom. Here is a source you can access for voter information… it is recommended by the Pacific Justice Institute: electionforum.org. If we don’t vote, then we can’t complain if we don’t like the government we get.
5. Time is running out — Don’t forget to register for our 5th Anniversary Celebration Dinner and program. It is a free event for you. Please remember that we have to pay for every meal we order. We want you there!
6. In case you are interested – I will do a book signing for my new devotional book, “Moments with the Lord” at Bank of Books, in Santa Paula on May 12th, beginning at noon, and at Abednego in Ventura on May 17th, also at noon. I would love to see you at either place.
7. Reminder … Grief Support Group will meet today at 4 PM. Certified Grief Counselor, Paul Lenderman, welcomes all who may be experiencing any kind of grief; oftentimes it is a result of a loss.
8. For any of our ladies who did not receive a Mother’s Day gift, we apologize. We have ordered more, so please let us know if you did not receive one.
9. YOU ARE WELCOME to join any time our Sunday morning adult classes, “Bible Alive” at 8:45 AM:

10. Something new … unless there is an event taking place, the church building doors will remain locked, during office hours. If you need to enter, go to the single door, (right side, facing the front of bldg.) and ring the doorbell. Please be patient as we implement this new security camera system.
