1. A funeral service for Don Carlton will be held here on Thursday, May 16th at 11 AM. Please remember Bonnie and her family in your prayers.
The funeral service for Marie Nicely will be Friday, May 24th at 9 AM. Please remember Greg and their family in your prayers.
2. Membership – Our next membership class will be Sunday, June 2nd, right after the 2nd service. We hope you will consider becoming a member. Application forms are available at the Welcome Center. Return your form as soon as possible so that Pastor Leonard can meet with you before the class.
3. It’s Church Directory time. We will be printing our Summer 2024 update in June and hope to have your current information as well as a new or renewed picture! Please complete a “green card” at the Welcome Center with any additions or changes to your directory information. Also, if you want to add your picture, or update your picture, plan to come to the church conference room/library between services on May 19 & 26.
4. Pastor Leonard’s series on “Spiritual Warfare” will continue right after Father’s Day. He says it has blessed him with the keen interest expressed by so many.
5. This Sunday is Mother’s Day. We hope that all the mothers can be present. We have special gifts for all our ladies.
6. A summer Women’s Bible Study for all ladies will start June 12th. We got an awesome deal on the book and Study Guide by Amir Tsarfati! Both for only $10. Sign up at WBS on Wednesday or Sunday morning at the Café.
7. Men’s Breakfast & Bible Study every Thursday at 6 AM. It is so exciting to see a good number of men turn out each time and our chefs always produce a great breakfast for just $5.00. If you haven’t attended, give us a try …you’ll be very glad you did!
8. Our Grief Support Group will be meeting on Tuesday, May 14th at 4 PM. If you have experienced loss and are looking for support, come join this very meaningful group. Paul Lenderman, a Certified Grief Counselor leads this group.
9. Auction on the Water – Ventura County Christian School fundraiser will be Thursday, May 9, from 5:30 – 8:00 PM at the Greek Restaurant. Call the church office for information.
