MEMORIAL SERVICE
The memorial for Dr. Mark and Miriam Harmeling will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 2 PM at Pleasant Valley Bible Church.
END-OF-YEAR GIVING
First, THANK YOU for your faithful giving throughout 2024. Your regular giving plus your giving to missions has enabled us to do so much for the glory of God. Often at the end of the year, people like to give extra – often to improve their tax situation. Whatever the reason, if you feel prompted to give an end-of-year gift, we will put it to good use.
VENTURA COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS SHOPPE
Thank you to all the individuals and churches who donated toys for the Ventura Community Christmas Shoppe. God bless you for your generosity. The Shoppe went very well on an enjoyable sunny Ventura day (12.14). There were lots of activities, food, gift wrapping, Santa, stocking stuffers, and most importantly a lot of toys and plenty of raffle prizes. Sharing the love of Jesus was lots of fun for everyone! CHRISTMAS UN-DECORATING – FRIDAY, JANUARY 3, 2025 @ 10:00 AM
Our facility has looked so beautiful with all the Christmas decorations to celebrate Christ’s birth. Now it’s time to take down and store ‘til November/December 2025. A few extra hands will make light work and still merry hearts. We’ll start at 10 AM and finish promptly (funny how they always seem to come down faster than they go up. LOL!)
START THE NEW YEAR IN GOD’S HOUSE! SUNDAY, JANUARY 5, 2025
We are on the threshold of a new year. While time, days, months, and years press on, God doesn’t CHANGE! He’s our Help in ages past and our Hope for years to come. Plus, His Word is eternal! That’s why we gather to praise Him for who He is and what He’s done. Make it a priority to be in church at VJF on the first Sunday of 2025. We’ll center our hearts, celebrate Jesus our Lord, remember His sacrifice with communion, and seek His help with anointing.
INAUGURAL PRAYER HOUR – SUNDAY, JANUARY 19th from 3-4 PM
God tells us to pray for our leaders. As President-elect Trump prepares to be inaugurated on January 20, we want to come together as the body of Christ for a special time of prayer on Sunday, January 19, from 3-4 PM. God will be honored and we want our new administration to seek Him as they lead. Let’s come together and intercede corporately for our country.
