MEMBERSHIP AND BAPTISM – WHAT’S THE RELATIONSHIP? Both work together to identify you as a follower of Jesus. Baptism is the public declaration that you’ve put your faith in Jesus for the forgiveness of sin. Membership affirms your “citizenship” or commitment as an individual to a local body of believers. At VJF, we encourage both. Applications for baptism and church membership are available on the info table across from the office. Orientation classes will be offered soon. Questions?
