1. Well, Praise God — other than the spinal pain, I am feeling great and plan to be back at the podium this Sunday (20th) teaching on “The Rewards of Heaven.” Thank you for your many prayers, cards, and text messages. They meant more than words could ever express. Several of you provided me with special meals and tapioca pudding! God bless all of you. I love you, Pastor Leonard
Also … Many thanks to Pastors Jim and Mike Sherrow, our administrative team, Joan, and Karen, plus all of our leaders and others who have really carried the ball forward during my illness. I have watched from a distance and you were terrific. God bless you.
2. We need Your Help — We are partnering with Samaritan’s Purse to fill 500 shoeboxes with items to bless boys and girls in other countries. It is called “Operation Christmas Child.” The boxes have all been assembled and are ready for you to pick up and fill them. We need you to come by the church to get them. The wonderful thing about this project is we are providing a twelve-week follow-up discipleship course that will introduce them to Jesus and help them get growing. You could even invite others to be a part of this project.
3. On September 26th, the Washington Prayer March 2020 led by Franklin Graham and others will be at our nation’s capitol. Please pray for this event. It would be wonderful if you were able to attend. There is still time to sign on.
4. Are you registered to vote? If not, I pray you will do so right away … and by all means, PLEASE VOTE! I am not alone in saying that this election will probably be the most important in our nation’s history. PRAY for God’s will to prevail.
