1. What a Sweet Sense of God’s Presence … we felt on Sunday as we worshipped and shared in Communion. The little chalices that contained the juice and the bread worked very well. Just about everyone remembered the time change as well.
2. Now That We are Open … I want to encourage our Jubilee family to come together again UNLESS you are sick or have a compromised immune system. God designed us to thrive on fellowship. When we meet together, we are refreshed individually and the church is strengthened. We are taking every precaution to make the facility safe.
3. Did You Know … that every Tuesday morning at 10 AM, Pastor Jim is leading a Bible study in the book of Philippians. He loves to teach and by the response from those attending, they are loving it. The class lasts for exactly one hour.
4. Looking Ahead … Now that we have the building all to ourselves on Sunday mornings, we are able to do things we could not do before. We are making plans to offer a series of Bible classes prior to our 10:30 AM worship time. So be watching closely for more information. We don’t want you to miss this opportunity.
5. Operation Christmas Child … We’re starting to see full boxes delivered to church! Many of you are having your grandchildren help shop for those special “goodies” that are filling the boxes. Remember, we have a goal of 500 boxes and are asking you to consider taking one or two more so we can reach our goal by mid-November! You can pick one up at the church office or on your way out, by the large roll-up door, on Sunday morning. THANK YOU, NANCY, for all you are doing to promote this worth-while ministry.
6. Did you receive your ballot? VOTE. Voting is the cornerstone of our democracy. VOTE. Don’t have any regrets. VOTE … and for our nation, PRAY!
