1. There will be NO Noon Prayer Time on Thursday as our parking lot is being resealed. We are thrilled that our landlord is getting this done.
2. Parking lot news … we will soon have a newly resurfaced parking lot with stripes showing where to park. This Thursday is the big day.
3. We will be having the Men’s Breakfast and Bible Study at 6 AM Thursday. We will be done before the resurfacing of the parking lot.
4. Pastor Leonard will leave shortly after the Men’s B&B for a funeral he is conducting in Redondo Beach in memory of our dear Janet Sims. Thus, he will not be in the office on Thursday.
5. Membership Barbeque – Did you get your invitation — if you are not a member of Jubilee? You are invited to a fantastic barbeque with all the side dishes and dessert, this coming Saturday, August 21 at 4 PM. If you are not officially a member and didn’t get your invitation, PLEASE call us right now. We have several folks coming … but we’ll make room for more! 805-535-4325. 6. Missions Impact 2021 – We have two more Sundays to go to submit our special missions offering for this year’s Mission’s Conference. Simply pray and ask the LORD to prompt you on what He wants you to give. Be sure to mark your offering “Impact 2021.”
7. This Sunday I will finish the lesson on “Recognizing Demonic Activity” and will add a supplement to it on “How to Deal with Demonic Activity.” I hope you can be present. I believe it will be very helpful.
8. New Series in Bible Alive. Bill Abeyta’s Bible Alive class has just started a new series … “Adopted Sons – The Rights and Privileges of Believers”. It is a part of the Romans 8 study. Come and join in this new study. We are privileged to have Bill as one of our fine teachers!
9. Folks Don’t Miss This — on Wednesday, August 18th, (tomorrow) beginning at 10 AM, we will show all of the Jim Cymbala videos that were used in our most recent Women’s Bible Study. His teaching on prayer is excellent. Make this special showing a priority.
10. Our updated Pictorial Directory should be out by the end of September. If you are not in our current directory, we really want you to be in it. Fill out the green card we are using for this purpose and have your picture taken right after church in the Conference Room.
11. Anointing – Our Deacon Board meets on the 4th Friday of each month. If you desire to be anointed with oil, you are welcome to join their time together at 8:15 AM. Please call the office or let one of the pastors know about your decision to do this.
