1. August ’21 will soon be history. What has the Holy Spirit been prompting you to do for our special mission’s fundraiser? Be sure you mark your special gift for this project ‘IMPACT 2021’. The first Sunday in September we will share what God has done and let you know how much each missionary and parachurch ministry will receive.
2. Plan Now to Be Present at our Congregational Business Meeting on Sunday, Sept. 19th just a few minutes after the morning service. Dr. Dave DeVries, our Regional Director will be with us. It will be a great day.
3. Our New Baptistry has arrived and will soon be ready for use. We believe that everyone who is truly born-again should be baptized by immersion, as a testimony of their faith relationship with Jesus Christ. If you haven’t been baptized, please let us know. We want to prepare you for this great experience of faith.
4. Our next Movie Night will be Friday, September 10 at 6 PM. We will be showing “Jesus” (Sight & Sound Theatre).
5. Lewis and Karen McClendon of Abound Ministries will be with us this Sunday. It will be so good to see them and fellowship with them.
6. Men’s Breakfast & Bible Study – Thursday at 6 AM. This week in our series on “Sins We Christians Tolerate” we will see what the Bible has to say about “Selfishness”. Some Bible scholars believe this is the root of all others.
7. Women’s Bible Study will begin again on Wednesday, September 8th at 10 AM. In this Priscilla Shirer study, on Gideon, she says … “If you are feeling a little empty right now, don’t despair… I wanted a quick turnaround from You to Him. From Weakness to Strength. From Impossibility to Divine Possibility. Study books are $10 and are available at the Welcome Center.
8. Ventura County Mask Mandate – I have, in recent weeks talked to several doctors whom I highly regard and they are for wearing the masks … not because an agency mandates them, but because they believe they help people stay safe. I want us to be able to continue to meet and worship freely. If my wearing a mask will protect you and keep us open, for me, it is a small price to pay. Let’s do as the Bible teaches “Care for one another” and “Look out for one another.”
9. Membership Forms – to those non-members who attended the barbeque, we hope you are planning to officially join. For those who are planning to join, please return your completed application form right away. We have a bit more work to do to complete the process.

11. Our updated Pictorial Directory – This Sunday, the 29th, will be the final day for taking pictures. If you would like an updated picture or haven’t had one, please come to the Conference Room immediately after the church service. We love seeing your pictures in the directory!
12. Anointing – Our Deacon Board meets on the 4th Friday of each month. (August 27) If you desire to be anointed with oil, you are welcome to join their time together at 8:15 AM. Please call the office or let one of the pastors know about your decision to do this.
