For those who are interested – I don’t think we will soon forget the incredible blessing Larry Morbitt was when he sang at our Christmas dinner. Many of you asked if he had CDs with him. He did not, but he has just mailed some and they should arrive any day. They will be $15 each or two for $25. I will let you know when they arrive.
We are Blessed – last week I was reading that due to the Pandemic, several thousand churches across the nation have totally closed due to a lack of finances. Some churches have actually sold their properties to generate revenue so they could keep going.
Even though about half of our church family have not yet returned, you have faithfully given. I thank God for you and am proud of you. We are supporting monthly a total of twenty missionaries and parachurch ministries. They are really counting on us and I am so grateful we can stand with them.
We have a monthly lease payment plus utilities and other regular expenses. We have an amazing staff. Several of them are part-time. I praise God for the team He has put together to serve our Lord and Jubilee family. God bless you for standing with us and enabling us to have this amazing global outreach. Pastor Leonard
Be sure to get your ticket(s) for our February 1st luncheon. We will be showing the video “The Rise of Global Christian Persecution.” The cost for a hearty lunch is $10.
Attention All Ladies – Your weekly Bible Study begins again this Wednesday at 10 AM. What a great opportunity to form new friendships, get into God’s word, and grow in your faith.
Men’s Breakfast & Bible Study every Thursday at 6 AM. Please register so that we always have enough food. You can sign up online.
My Vision – Jubilee can grow in spite of the Pandemic. There are people in good or at least reasonable health just waiting to be invited by you to come here for worship. We will do everything possible to make it a really rich worship experience – BUT, you are the bridge between Jubilee and those waiting to be invited. Ask the LORD to show you who to invite.
Some of you reading this note are the very ones I am looking for. I want to lay a strong foundation to build the second service. To do that, I am looking for 30 people who will make the 11:30 AM service YOUR service. It is exactly the same as the 10 AM service —just smaller. When I first began pastoring 61 years ago, there were 25 people in the congregation. Those folks worked with me and within two years, there were 175 in attendance. Let me know if you are willing to be a part of the core group for our second service. Let’s see, together, what God will do.
Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner with Missionary Brian Weed. He will be with us Sunday, February 13th and for most of the week following. We would love to have you have some personal time with Brian and perhaps have a meal with him so that you can really get to know him. Contact Don Fromberg who is handling Brian’s schedule while he is in the area.
We are blessed to have plenty of parking! Just a reminder that Jubilee’s parking spaces, (Mon-Sat) DO NOT include those adjacent to the window/door business, our neighbors to the north. However, you are welcome to park there on Sundays.
Church Workday – There will be a church workday on Monday, February 21 from 9:00 to 11:00 am. We will provide coffee, fruit, and donuts to replenish your strength if needed. Whether you can come and stay for the full 2 hours or only a few minutes, everyone is welcome! If you have any questions feel free to contact the church office. Thank you in advance for your help!
