1. The memorial service for Bill Corcoran will be this Saturday, October 1st at 11 AM at our church. Please remember the family in prayer.
2. Our next luncheon will be Tuesday, October 11th at noon. It will feature Eric and Joanne Kragenbrink who are cantors at a Messianic synagogue in San Diego. Some of their music will be in Hebrew. Please invite any Jewish people you know. Cost for the luncheon is $10.
3. Our next membership class will be Saturday, October 8th at 9 AM, here at the church. If you are not a member, this would be a wonderful time to have you join. Membership forms are available at the Welcome Center. Please return your completed form to the church office as soon as possible.
4. Women’s Bible Study is in full swing with close to 60 ladies in attendance! They have just begun a new study based on Dr. Morgan’s book, “Red Sea Rules.” It is a terrific study. Come Wednesday, Sept. 28th at 10:00 AM. You can still join.
5. This Sunday, we will have a guest with us from Gideons International. What an amazing ministry this layman’s movement has had across the years. He will take about ten minutes to give us an overview of what God is doing worldwide through the placement of Bibles and New Testaments.
6. Needed – one or two able-bodied men to help Dow set up the traffic cones on Sunday morning. His former helper, Doug, now lives in Simi Valley and they have no transportation to church. Lately, a couple of our ladies have been helping, but I would much prefer a man or two. If you can help, please let me know.
7. Directory Updates – Over the past several months, we have received numerous updates to our church directory plus the addition of several new members. We hope to have a new directory ready in November. We need your help!
CHECK THE CURRENT DIRECTORY, online or at the Welcome Center. If any of your personal data is incorrect, please make the corrections on a “Green Card” located at the Welcome Center or the Information Table. Return it to the Welcome Center.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE A PICTURE (or a retake) in the directory, plan to have your picture taken between services on Sundays, October 23 and 30, in the church conference room.
8. Starting this Sunday, 10/02, Bill Abeyta’s Bible Alive class will begin a 5-week study on “The Fruit of the Spirit.” All 9 graces and how they make up the Christian character will be examined. All are welcome. This class meets in the church office and welcomes new folks, anytime.
