1. Are you living on the edge financially? If you are – and you have done everything you know to do, to change your situation – please let us know. If at all possible, we will try to help.
2. Our Bible Conference with Dr. Robert Morgan is next weekend – October 13-15! Our weekend theme will be: The Mediterranean Sea Rules – The Same God Who Governs the Weather Can Guide You Through the Storms. Dr. Morgan’s ministry will greatly enrich your life. Sessions will be as follows: Friday (10/13) @ 6 p.m.; Saturday (10/14) @ 9, 10, and 11 a.m.; Sunday (10/15) @ 10 and 11:30 a.m. (two different messages.) Be sure to come and invite your family and friends. Also, please pray for the outpouring of God’s Holy Spirit on both Dr. Morgan and all who attend.
3. Our church pictorial directory update is going on NOW. We want to know WHO’S WHO in our church family. NEW PICTURES will be taken between services during October. Also, if you have a new name, address, or phone, simply submit a GREEN directory update card. PLEASE help us keep the directory useful with current info. Cards are available at the Welcome Center.
4. Ladies – Our Fall Women’s Bible Study Session Begins Tomorrow (10/04) Praise God! We have nearly 60 registered to deep dive into ROMANS!! There’s still room for you. The study guide is available for $15. This Wednesday’s launch starts at 10 a.m. and will include a continental breakfast, praise and worship, an introduction to our ROMANS study, and time with our small groups.
5. Our Harvest BBQ is coming on October 27th at 6 pm. It will feature our BBQ MEAT BUFFET, complete with sides and pies. Along with that good food, and fun fellowship, there will be lots of LAUGHS with our guest Robert G. Lee! Robert is a highly acclaimed, very funny, and in-demand, Christian comedian. The HARVEST BBQ is one of those events that you can safely use to introduce unchurched family and friends to Jesus and Jubilee. The cost is $15. Space is limited, so sign up at the Welcome Center.
6. The Grief Support Group will be meeting on Tuesday, October 10th at 4 PM. If you have experienced any kind of loss, come and join Certified Grief Counselor, Paul Lenderman in the Library/Conference Room.
7. Remember the folk song, “You are my sunshine, my only sunshine; you make me happy when skies are gray…”? Those words pretty much sum up the purpose of VJF’s Sunshine Committee. The Sunshine Committee sends cards to our VJF family celebrating birthdays and anniversaries, sending get-well wishes, and extending our heartfelt condolences to those grieving a loss. Yes, the Sunshine Committee is a ministry BRIGHT SPOT. If interested in being a part of it, contact the church office ASAP. Cards and postage will be provided.
8. Operation Christmas Child is in full swing! Boxes are ready for you to pick up in the back of the sanctuary or by the Welcome Center. Your contribution to this very worthy project makes a difference! Please, take a box and pray over it as you fill it with “joy” for a child whom you may meet someday in heaven. The shoebox gifts will be collected starting Sunday, October 29th through November 12. Questions? Contact Nancy Drake.
9. WANTED: INTERCESSORS! Please join us on Thursdays at 11 a.m. for an hour of prayer – the needs and requests are great. Let’s come together and pray!!
10. Our Men’s Breakfast and Bible study meets every Thursday at 6 a.m. Guys – this time is vital to your spiritual health. When it comes to a stronger walk with Jesus- learn the power of prayer, worship, Bible study, and fellowship, topped off with a great breakfast!
11. David Hartman graduated to be with our Lord on September 30th. The funeral will be Saturday, Oct. 7 at 11 AM at Perez Family Funeral Home (formerly Ted Mayer). Please keep Shirley and family in your prayers for comfort and peace.
12. All are welcome to join a Bible Alive (Sunday School) class, anytime. We have four classes with the following studies:

13. Jubilee will be hosting a special Remembrance Service on Thursday, November 30th, at 6 p.m. If you have lost a friend or family member, this will be a special time to join others to remember and reflect; embracing the hope of Christmas in the light of your loss.
