1. Attention all men — we will not have our regular Breakfast & Bible Study this Thursday. It is Thanksgiving Day. Get a little more sleep and enjoy the day with family and friends.
2. Attention all ladies — we will not have our Ladies’ Bible Study this Wednesday. It is the day before Thanksgiving and you probably have plenty to do getting ready for that special day.
3. Attention Church Family — The Church Office will close at 1 PM on Wednesday, November 22nd, to give staff some extra prep time for Thanksgiving.
4. A special “thank you” to whoever gave each of the staff a special Thanksgiving card. You made us feel so special and we are so honored to serve you. God bless you.
5. This Sunday, November 26 at 10 and 11:30 services, the Teen Challenge Ladies Choir will be with us. Teen Challenge has the greatest success rate of any rebab program in the country and they get no government money. You will be blessed by their songs and testimonies. Be sure to invite others. We will receive a lover offering for them and they will have succulents for sale.
6. Sunday, December 10th Pastor Sherrow, the choir, the JoyBells and others using their instruments will present their Christmas musical, “Jesus, What a Wonderful Child”. What a morning that will be. Please invite family and friends. Especially invite those who do not go to church anywhere or those who may be looking for a new church home.
7. Our annual, all-church Christmas dinner is Friday, December 15th at 6 PM. You will enjoy a wonderful dinner, great fellowship, and the music of Robert & Jackie Malone. Cost for the evening is $15. You can purchase our tickets this Sunday, Nov. 26th. They will go quickly.
8. Many thanks for the way you honored my 86th birthday which was on the 17th. I received a wonderful card and check given by the Church Board from you. Being the pastor of Jubilee is such a privilege. I thank the Lord all the time for a great staff and you, my church family.
9. This past Sunday, in the 10 AM service, we welcomed the following new members: Alaine Ashton, Sally Hancock, Beverly Irish, Mike and Carolyn Mason, Debbie Smith, Carole Young, and Patty Law. Watch for them and let them know how excited you are to have them at Jubilee.
10. Looking Ahead … please mark the dates of April 20-21, 2024 for a wonderful Bible Conference with Charlie Campbell. We have had him several times because he is so very good at communicating Biblical Truth. I don’t want you to miss hearing him.
11. Would you help? We are now in the holiday season and we can anticipate many new faces in any service. If you normally attend at 10 AM and it wouldn’t make any difference to you, please consider coming at 11:30 AM. That way the first service will not be overcrowded.
12. Please continue to pray for Israel and the hostages. When you consider that the followers of Hamas feel they will be rewarded for killing a Jew or one of us Christian Gentiles, you must realize that the hostages are just a bargaining chip. We must never forget that in spite of all that is going on, God is on the throne.
13. We will be decorating the church for Christmas on Monday, 11/27 at 10 AM. There is something for everyone to do! It’s a fun time and so rewarding. Please come and join in!
