1. This Sunday we will have a Membership Class, right after the 2nd service, in the Library/Conference Rm. A light lunch will be served. If you plan to join, please get your membership application form to Pastor Leonard before Sunday. Call the office for a form.
2. Sign up on Sunday morning for our Bingo and Potluck Luncheon on June 11th. Be watching your emails for more information.
3. Have you signed up to pray for one or more missionaries for an entire year? This is something each of us can do and it is more important than you could ever imagine. Over the years, I have had missionaries say “If you can only promise to do one thing to help me, promise to pray for me.”
4. The Women’s Bible Study is on a short break. They will resume on Wednesday, June 12th at 9:45 (for a quick cup of coffee) and 10 AM to begin group study time. The study, by Amir Tsarfati, will be timely and inspirational! If you do not have a book/study book, please order online, “Israel and the Church”.
5. Attention all men – This Thursday, May 30th at 6 AM, at our Men’s Breakfast & Bible Study, it will be our privilege to hear World Partners Missionary, Gordon Griffith. Gordon is a missionary to the Philippines. Did you know … He grew up at Ventura Missionary Church! You will be blessed by what he has to share.
6. The Carpet Project — it is now scheduled to be installed July 8 – 12. The entire project will cost over $34,000. A yard costs just under $30. Could you donate a yard, five yards, ten yards, or even fifty? Whatever you might do, be sure to identify on your giving envelope. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you what you might do.
7. A Memorial Service is planned for Harold White. It will be here, at Jubilee, on Saturday, June 8th at 11 AM.
8. For those who say they “can’t carry a tune” … how ‘bout ringing a melody? JoyBells has resumed practice. We just need a few more bell-ringers to bring jubilant Glory to God. Consider coming to practice on Tuesdays at 2 PM. Contact Irene Abbey for details.
9. It’s not too late to edit your contact information in our Church Directory. If your name, address, email, or phone number has changed, please complete a “green card” and return it to the Welcome Center. This includes those of you who have removed your landline #. We want to remove that number from the directory. Our new Summer 2024 printed directories will be available in late June.
