JULY & AUGUST – MISSIONS EMPHASIS MONTHS
During these two months, you will hear from a variety of missionary ministries that will help you understand the importance of our support – prayerfully and financially.
Our goal is to raise $110,000 which will be gifted to our missionaries and mission partners during our Missions Conference Week, August 25-30. Special Missions Emphasis offering envelopes are available for your mission giving. Please ask the Holy Spirit to show you what He would have you give.
NEW PREACHING SERIES – “Angels”
On Sunday, July 28 Pastor Leonard will introduce his new series on angels. You will be blessed to see what the Bible says about these “ministering spirits”. Pass the word to those who don’t have a church home. There is an angel craze across the country. You can help others hear the truth from God’s word about these specially-created helpers, and not be deceived.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD ALERT!!
Be watching for school supply sales. Walmart and Staples will have super astounding sale prices starting soon. You will be able to save as much as 75% over regular prices!!! For example, a 24 box of crayons for $.50 (can be up to $4.00 later). Colored pencils with a sharpener, yellow pencils, colored markers, pens, erasers, rulers, tape, scissors Lined paper, memo pads, and construction paper. Also, Bible coloring books and 3-pack toothbrushes with caps are in stock now at the Dollar Tree.
ANNUAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING
Our ACM will be on Sunday, September 15. There will be ONE SERVICE at 10 AM. After the service, we will elect church leadership for the next two years. Plus there will be several other very important items we want to share with you as we look to the future. We want our entire church family to be present.
MEMBERSHIP CLASS
Our next membership class will be on Sunday, October 6, right after the service. A light lunch will be served, and we will share about VJF – who we are, what we do, etc. Most of our time will be getting to know those who wish to join. Membership applications are at the Welcome Center. Complete the form and return it to the office ASAP. Pastor Leonard would like to meet with you before the class.

This is the date of our second annual HARVEST BBQ!! Folks, you don’t want to miss it. This is also a perfect opportunity to invite family or friends who need to know Jesus and experience the fun and love of Christ’s church. Watch for more details!
WOMEN’S HAVE FAITH CONFERENCE – September 20-21, 2024
VJF women are heading to Calvary Community Church, Westlake, for a wonderful 2-day weekend of spiritual refreshment and fellowship with other girlfriends in Christ!! Ladies, this will be a terrific event featuring fantastic speakers, worship leaders, and performers.
