COMING IN CONCERT – SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 23
Enjoy and be encouraged by Sally Klein O’Connor’s testimony in song and story; how she as a young Jewish girl came to faith in Jesus Christ, and what it means to walk with the Lord. The concert time is 5 PM and is open to everyone, so invite your family and friends.
CHILI COOK-OFF SET FOR FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 2025
Spice up your winter at our 2025 – 3rd Annual – CHILI COOK-OFF!! Invite your family and friends for some mouth-watering CHILI sampling and dinner out. The evening includes voting for your favorite chili, live entertainment with the VJF Gospel Band, Round Table Games, Awards, and more! We have 12 contestants!! However, you may contact the church office to be an alternate. Cookoff RSVPs begin Sunday, February 9. The cost is $10.
Also, we need 20 butcher block-type cutting boards for centerpiece décor. If you have one or more we can borrow, bring it to the church office with your name on the bottom! Thanks!
PARKING LOT NOTICE!
City Service Paving will be on the VJF premises on Monday, February 24, 2025, to grind and pave the parking lot, and back again on Saturday, March 1, 2025, to seal and stripe the parking lot. No cars will be allowed in the parking lot on those two days.
MEMORIAL FOR JOE CROWE – MONDAY, FEBRUARY 24 @ 2 PM
The memorial graveside service for our brother Joe Crowe will be Monday, February 24 at 2 PM at Ivy Lawn. A reception will follow. Join us as we thank God for Joe’s life and encourage Shirley and the family.
MEMBERSHIP CLASS
Are you interested in church membership? Membership Applications will be available at the Welcome Center. The next Membership Class is scheduled for Sunday, April 6th. The class is held after 2nd service with a light lunch provided. Come and learn all about Jubilee.
SUNSHINE GROUP VOLUNTEERS
Getting a card is simply joyous. Writing a card is just as joyous – making someone’s day brighter. Hence, the VJF Sunshine Group. We have some openings available for additional Sunshine Group volunteers. Contact the church office to become part of the SG team of people responsible – on a rotating schedule – to send birthday, anniversary, get-well, etc. cards to our church family.
SPRING WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY
The spring Women’s Bible Study session will start Wednesday, March 5 Ladies – we will be studying the book of JAMES which gives us practical insight into the connection between what we believe and what we do. EVERYDAY EVANGELISM WORKSHOP – FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 21 – 9:30-11:30 AM @ VJF
