1. Our Spring-cleaning CHURCH WORKDAY is scheduled for this THURSDAY, March 21, from 9–11 AM. We encourage you to come out and help sparkle up our church for Sunday services.
2. Our April Luncheon will be on April 9th with special guest Brad Dacus of the Pacific Justice League. The cost is $10. Tickets are on sale NOW.
3. Men’s Breakfast & Bible Study is every Thursday at 6 AM, featuring food, fellowship, and worship. We’ve started a study on the life of Abraham led by Pastor Leonard and would love to have you join us. A donation of $5 for an amazing breakfast is appreciated.
4. The Women’s Bible Study (WBS) continues in the book of Proverbs. You are welcome to join in. Ladies meet for fellowship at 9:30 AM and worship starts at 10 AM followed by breakout groups. For first-time attendees, check with the welcome center for further information.
5. Church Membership – Our next church membership class will be held on June 2 after the 11:30 AM service. A lite lunch will be served. Prayerfully consider identifying with this local church family. Membership Applications are available at the Welcome Center. Don’t wait until the last minute – Pastor Leonard wants to meet with you prior.
6. The next Grief Support Group will meet on Tuesday, April 9, at 4 PM. If you are experiencing loss of any kind, you are welcome to come and share, under the leadership of Certified Grief Counselor, Paul Lenderman.
7. A memorial service for Barbara Antilla will be held on Saturday, March 23 at 10 AM at VJF. Pray for her family and know that you are welcome to attend.
8. Richard Abbey has started a new series on Ephesians in his Bible Alive Class. Come join him at 8:45 AM on Sunday mornings in the “Eagle’s Nest” room (down the office hallway).
9. Spring Bible Conference with Charlie Campbell is planned for April 20-21. MARK YOUR CALENDARS and plan to come! Charlie is a gifted communicator. He’ll do 3 sessions on Saturday from 9 AM-12 PM, then on Sunday, he will teach the same subject in both services.
10. 12-Hour Prayer Watch – We will have a 12-hour prayer watch on Friday, April 12 from 6 AM-6 PM. The 12 hours will be divided into increments for which you can sign up, so watch for details. Also, between now and then, use the yellow prayer cards to submit any special requests you may have. Those requests will be brought before the throne of God during the prayer watch. In the final hour of the watch (5-6 PM) we will have an ALL-CHURCH hour of praise and worship featuring music, testimonies, and Scripture, giving thanks to God. We want everyone to come.
11. Please pray for Norma McMasters. Her husband Alex passed away last week due to a massive stroke. She is comforted knowing he is with Jesus. Ask God to give Norma strength and energy as she deals with the loss. There will not be a memorial at this time.
