1. WHITE MEMORIAL. The memorial for Harold White will be this Saturday, June 8 at 11:00 AM here at VJF. Please remember Diane and her family in your prayers.
2. NEW MEMBERS. This Sunday, June 9, we’re welcoming a wonderful group of new members. It is so exciting to see the people that God is bringing to VJF.
3. BINGO & POTLUCK LUNCHEON. Next Tuesday, June 11 at noon will be our Bingo & Potluck Luncheon. 40+ people have already signed up and we’ll be feasting, for sure – on food, fun, and laughter. Want to come? Contact the church office or check your email for the online sign-up link.
4. CAN YOU HELP? One of our church family members is getting out of acute care rehab this week. Most likely she’ll need help when she is home. If you are looking for a few hours a week (pay is available) or know someone available to assist this dear lady, contact the VJF office or Pastor Leonard.
5. PLEDGE 2 PRAY. Please commit to faithfully praying for one or more of our missionaries for a year. They encounter many situations as they reach people with the good news of Jesus Christ, and need our support through prayer. Prayer makes a huge difference in circumstances and people’s lives. You can sign up for Pledge 2 Pray online or at VJF through June 30.
6. PRESTO PASTA FUNDRAISER sponsored by our VJF Women’s Ministry. Proceeds from the Fundraiser will be used to bless our missionary wives this summer during Missions Conference 2024!!
7. EXTRAORDINARY WOMEN CONFERENCE. The 2024 Have Faith Tour is coming to Westlake in September. A group of VJF ladies will attend this 2-day conference, with a great team of speakers and performers, for spiritual refreshment and sweet fellowship. The cost is $165 for the 2-day conference, overnight hotel, and a Saturday box lunch. We only have 9 spaces left!!! $50 holds your spot. Contact the church office to RSVP. Promises to be one of the best weekends of the year as we draw closer to God’s heart – TOGETHER!!!!
8. USHERS’ TRAINING. Ushers are essential to our services and events here at VJF in helping people have a positive experience. For those who are currently serving or have recently signed up, Pastor Jim will lead a brief ushers’ training meeting on Tuesday, June 11 at 2 PM, following the Bingo & Potluck Luncheon (you should have received an email or snail mail informing you of the meeting.)
