July 23, Tuesday– JULY JUBILEE LUNCHEON
- Noon – Our special guests for July’s Luncheon are the directors of the RESCUE MISSION and THE LIGHTHOUSE for Women and Children. Both are Mission Partners of VJF. We’ll be serving an All-American picnic-style lunch – smoked hot dogs and hamburgers with the fixings, potato salad, chips, fruit, and desserts. The cost is $10. Tickets are available at the CAFÉ COUNTER on Sundays or through the church office.
JULY & AUGUST – MISSIONS EMPHASIS MONTHS
- We have entered the two months of the year when we give a major focus on missions. You will hear from several of the missionaries we support. During these months our goal is to raise $110,000 which will be gifted to our mission partners during our Missions Conference Week, August 25-30. Special Missions Emphasis gift envelopes are available for your mission giving. Please ask the Holy Spirit to show you what He would have you give.

- It’s time to start watching for school supply sales. Walmart and Staples will have super astounding sale prices starting soon. You will be able to save as much as 75% over the regular prices now that you will be paying later if you wait until October!!! For example a 24 box of crayons for $.50 (can be up to $4.00 later). Colored pencils with a sharpener, yellow pencils, colored markers, pens, erasers, rulers, tape, scissors Lined paper, memo pads, and construction paper. Also, Bible coloring books and 3-pack toothbrushes with caps are in stock now at the Dollar Tree.
