1. Men’s Breakfast & Bible Study – this Thursday at 6 AM, we will have Clayton Coates, the administrator of the Ventura County Mission Alliance. You will be blessed as he shares about the lives being changed.
2. Annual Meeting of Members– Sunday, September 18, 2022.
The meeting will start promptly 20 minutes after the 10 AM service. We will only have ONE service on that Sunday.
3. Movie Night – this Friday at 6 PM. We will be showing the true story, “Blue Marble.” Invite others and do bring snacks to share with others.
4. More teaching on the Holy Spirit. Next Sunday, August 21st, I will teach “Quenching the Holy Spirit.” Then on August 28th, I will teach “The Spirit-Filled Life.” I hope you can be present for both of these messages.
5. Do you know of people who do not go to church? Have you invited them to come and worship with you? One of the best ways to encourage people to start attending is to build a relationship with them. Have them over to have dessert and watch a movie with you. There are different ways to develop that relationship. I just want to encourage you to reach out to others. We may not have that much time left before the Lord returns.
6. Why your giving to Impact 2022 is so important – just in the last two weeks, we have received letters from two missionaries we help support, sharing their hearts.
· Ryan Taylor, serving in Germany, came home from a trip only to find his apartment ankle-deep in water. His furniture was ruined and some of his filming equipment. It will take 2 months for his apartment to be refurbished.
· The Morris family, in France, due to Covid and an immune problem Richard has, have seen their support drop by $500 a month. They also ask for prayers for their daughter, while in the States looking for employment.
7. Operation Christmas Child Supplies ALERT! Nancy says … There is a sale on Crayola crayons, 50 cents a box at Walmart, and crafting items in the seasonal clearance aisles. It’s back to school time, so sales are popping up at Staples, Target, and Walmart. Shop now for the best savings. Markers, crayons, watercolor sets, pencils, paper, sharpeners, and erasers are a primary need for all ages.
8. GREAT NEWS! Randy Lamberson writes: “All glory to God and our Lord and Savior Jesus for what He has done! Ventura Fair Little Red School House results for August 2022: 646 heard the Gospel and 112 believed and prayed to receive Jesus as their Savior! We praise you and thank you for the work you accomplished once again this year at the fair!”
9. If you have served the Lord, as a volunteer in our church, save the date for the evening of September 13th. Your pastors and staff want to say “thank you” for your kind and generous service. We will be providing dinner and a very special program. Watch for an invitation letter, later this month.
10. LOST KEY – we are looking out for a lost car key. It is black on the top and “silver” on the bottom part. If you have seen one in the church or the front church parking lot, please call the office right away. Thank you!
