AUGUST – MISSIONS EMPHASIS MONTH
- August is an amazing month at VJF, with gifted missionaries who will help us understand the importance of our support – prayerfully, relationally, and financially.
- Sunday, August 25 – Our Missions Conference Week begins! Three couples will be with us – Walkers (New Zealand), Abrmans (Slovakia) and Saunes (Peru). We will have just ONE SERVICE from 10 AM to 11:30 AM, giving each missionary the same amount of time to speak.
- Friday, August 30 at 6 PM – Plan to attend our All-Church Missions Banquet, at which time we will receive what you believe God has put on your heart to give towards our $110,000. We are trusting God to reach this goal.
- YOU can have breakfast, lunch, or dinner with one of our missionary couples. It is a wonderful way to get to know them, what is on their hearts, and how to pray for them. If you haven’t already signed up, call the church office and set a time with one of the couples.
- JUST FOR MEN – This Thursday at our Men’s Breakfast & Bible Study, we will be sharing the topic of Revival. I hope every man from Jubilee will be there! True revivals are sent from heaven, then the Holy Spirit comes upon a people as He did at Pentecost. Come for great food and fellowship at 6 AM.
- JUST FOR WOMEN – Ladies, have you signed up for the lunch with the missionary wives, on Tuesday, August 27th, beginning at 11:30? This free event is going to be an exciting time! Money has been raised so the wives can go shopping or use it as they see fit. Please don’t miss it. Sign up at the Café Counter or call the office.
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 2024
- Our ANNUAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING will be on Sunday, September 15. There will be ONE SERVICE at 10 AM. Our annual business meeting will begin shortly after the service. We wish all our members and regular attendees to be present for both the service AND the meeting.
- We will elect church leadership for the next two years including a pastoral succession plan for when Pastor Leonard retires, or God calls him home.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2024
- GRANDS DAY! BRUNCH at 10 AM. Grandparents – you are a blessing to your grand and great-grandchildren! To celebrate this special God-given relationship, plan to bring your grand and great-grandkids to our first-ever mid-morning GRANDS DAY! Brunch. All Grands are welcome; however, the morning program will focus on K-5 age children. Watch for more details.

- WOMEN’S HAVE FAITH CONFERENCE: VJF women are heading to Calvary Community Church, Westlake, for a wonderful 2-day weekend TOGETHER of spiritual refreshment and fellowship with other girlfriends in Christ!! Ladies this terrific event features fantastic speakers, worship leaders, and performers. The cost is $165 – a great deal for what you receive: the 2-day conference, overnight hotel, and a Saturday box lunch. If the current party wins, I believe the USA will be lost forever. EACH vote counts. Please don’t sit out this election. Voting is a privilege. We get to choose our leaders.
