1. This is the LAST WEEK for your IMPACT 2022 Giving for Missions. July & August are months when we give a special focus on our missions program. We take what you give and share it with our missionaries and parachurch ministries. Most of these groups need a special boost midway through the year. Whatever the Lord leads you to give will be deeply appreciated.
2. This Sunday, Pastor Leonard will be teaching on being “Filled with the Holy Spirit.” Just like the vehicle you drive, every so often you need to refill the tank. We hope you can be present.
3. Membership – joining Jubilee will not get you into heaven, but it will show that you believe in the Church’s ministry and our commitment to God’s word. We hope you will consider joining and thereby strengthen the ministry of this church. Membership application forms are at the Welcome Center.
4. Anointing with Oil … In James 5:13-15 we are told that if anyone is sick, they should call upon the elders of the church to anoint them with oil and pray for them. Our Deacon Board meets this Thursday. If you sense the Holy Spirit moving you to do this please call and let us know that you desire this ministry, so that we can tell you what time to come.
5. Annual Congregational Meeting – Sunday, September 18th, right after the one service at 10 AM. Everyone is welcome to attend this meeting, but only members vote. Members should have received a Sample Ballot to review. If you have not received one, please call the church office.
6. A Very Special Event is coming up on Tuesday, September 13th at 6 PM. Many of you are serving in different capacities in our church. We want to give you a great big THANK YOU. Part of the way we will do this is by a free dinner in your honor with a special program. It is going to be a great evening. It is open to everyone who is serving. Spouses are welcome.
7. Samaritan’s Purse is looking for volunteers to help with the clean-up and restoration of houses that were severely damaged by flooding in Kentucky. They are also looking for people with a medical background for short-term projects. Information on volunteering is available at spvolounteer.org
