1. News Flash – On Sunday, November 12th, Pastor Lewis and Karen McClendon will be with us. He will speak in both services. Some of you have never met them. You will be blessed.
2. This Sunday, Sept. 10th, Pastor Leonard will take us to see what James has to say about “Playing Favorites.” I assure you, it has nothing to do with betting on horses.
3. On Sunday, September 17th, we will have just one service at 10 AM. Shortly after, we will have our annual business meeting. Everyone is encouraged to attend. It is sort of our “State of the Union” meeting. Only members can vote and you must be present to vote.
4. Friday, Sept. 15th at 6 PM, we will show the movie “Pardoned by Grace.” It’s free and we would love to see you there. Bring snacks to share with other people. Feel free to invite others to come.
5. Be sure to save the weekend of October 13-15 with Dr. Robert J. Morgan on your calendar. He will do one session, on Friday evening at 6 PM; followed by three sessions on Saturday morning between 9 & 12 noon. He will speak on Sunday in both services, giving two different messages. We are so privileged to have this gifted Bible teacher with us.
6. Be sure to put our Harvest BBQ on your calendar. It is October 27th at 6 PM and our guest will be Robert G. Lee, a highly acclaimed Christian comedian. Cost for the event is $15. It is one of those events that you can safely use to introduce unchurched family and friends to Jubilee.
7. It is a way off, but I would encourage you to put our annual Christmas dinner on your calendar. The date is Friday, December 15th. It will be a great dinner with a wonderful dinner and super-duper program.
8. October is Church Directory Month! Take a look at your church directory …if you need to update any information in the directory, and/or if you would like to add or re-do your picture, plan to meet Delores in the Conference/Library room between services during the month of October. To prepare for this, you will need to complete a green directory information card. They are available on the Information Table. You can turn it into the office or to the Welcome Center counter. Include a change of name, address, phone, or email. Thank you!
9. Operation Christmas Child. The best time to get school supplies for your OCC shoeboxes is right now!! Staples, Walmart, Office Depot … and other stores, are selling everything you might need from 50 cents to 99 cents. Empty OCC shoe boxes will be available for pick up, here at the church starting Sept. 13th.
10. If you love Jubilee and want to make this your church family, prayerfully consider officially becoming a member. Membership forms are available at the Welcome Center. Simply fill one out and return it to the church office. We will contact you upon receiving the form.
