1. Glory to God! When Joe Johns was with us during our Missions Emphasis months, he mentioned how Jubilee had responded, over a year ago, for some money to purchase programmed radios in the language of an unreached people group, known as the Koli people. We sent World Partners, which he directs, $3,200. When here, he told us that twelve people, in that tribe, have already come to Christ and been baptized. Folks, that is huge. That is one example of the way your Missions Board handles what you give for missions.
2. Attention All Men — all of us need other men that we can spend time with and bond with. A great opportunity for this is every Thursday morning at 6 AM at our Men’s Breakfast & Bible Study. We ask for a donation of $5.00. First-timers eat free! There are no study books, no homework, no preparation. Just come. It is just one hour that we are together, but the fellowship and time in the Word are well worth it. So, get out of bed, and come and join us.
3. Hey everybody – this Friday at 6 p.m. is our monthly movie night. We are showing “Pardoned by Grace.” There is no charge. Come, bring some snacks to share with others. Bring a friend and plan to have a relaxed and good time.
4. Very Important – this Sunday, September 17th, there will be just ONE SERVICE AT 10 AM. It will be followed by our annual Congregational Meeting. Everyone is encouraged to stay for the meeting; BUT, it is very important for members to be present. Only members can vote on the different items and you must be present to vote.
5. Please reserve the dates of October 13-15 for a wonderful Bible Conference with Dr. Robert Morgan. Several times a year he fills in for Dr. David Jeremiah at Shadow Mountain Community Church in San Diego. You will love this man. If you have never met or heard him, be sure to come. His ministry will greatly enrich your life as he shares how “The Mediterranean Sea Rules … remembering The Same God Who Governs the Weather Can Guide You Through the Storms.”
6. Our church pictorial directory is in need of an update. We really want to see your picture in the directory along with your pertinent information. NEW PICTURES will be taken between services during the month of October. You must complete a GREEN directory revision card if you want an updated picture and/or have a new name, address, or phone number. PLEASE help us keep the directory useful with current info. Cards are on the Information Table and at the Welcome Ctr.
7. Women’s Bible Study – LADIES — October 4th will be here before you know it! It is time to register for the fall Women’s Bible Study. You can register for the class and purchase the Study Book at the Café Counter on Sunday morning. “Romans, Live with Clarity” an 8-session study guide is available for $15.
8. Be sure to put our Harvest BBQ on your calendar. It is October 27th at 6 PM and our guest will be Robert G. Lee, a highly acclaimed Christian comedian. Cost for the event is $15. It is one of those events that you can safely use to introduce unchurched family and friends to Jubilee. Sign up at the Welcome Center.
9. Jubilee has a small inventory of medical equipment, such as wheelchairs and walkers. If you are in need to borrow a piece of equipment, call the office to see if we have it available. Also, if you would like to donate medical equipment, contact the office to see if there is a need for it and space to store it. If you have borrowed medical equipment from the church and no longer need it, please return it to the church office.
10. If you love Jubilee and want to make this your church family, prayerfully consider officially becoming a member. Membership forms are available at the Welcome Center. Simply fill one out and return it to the church office. We will contact you upon receiving the form.
11. Operation Christmas Child is in full swing! Boxes are ready for you to pick up in the back of the sanctuary or by the Welcome Center. Your contribution to this very worthy project makes a difference! Please, take a box and pray over it as you fill it with “joy” for a child whom you may meet someday in heaven.
IMPACT 2023 – The Mission Board unanimously approved the distribution of $159,038.53 in the following amounts: $5,900 each to our missionaries and $3,500 each to our local ministries. Additionally, $45,000 goes to the church-building project in Panama via Trailhead International. THANK YOU JUBILEE FAMILY!
