1. ALL-CHURCH PRAYER FOR ISRAEL!! This Thursday (10.19) at 11 AM. This is the most important thing we can do in the wake of the recent attacks and significant loss. We will meet in the sanctuary to lift up Israel in this time of unrest and uncertainty, asking God to bring healing, security, and peace to their hearts.
2. Mediterranean Sea Rules Video Sessions. Want to review the sessions with Dr. Morgan from our Bible Conference this weekend? Or maybe you weren’t able to attend the conference in person but would like to hear the teaching. We did live-stream the sessions so they are available on our VJF YouTube Channel.
3. Available for TWO MORE WEEKS! Books by Dr. Robert Morgan. And still at conference prices!! Come by the church office to get yours. Or perhaps for a loved one who could use some encouragement.
4. Our church pictorial directory update is going on NOW. We want to know WHO’S WHO in our church family. NEW PICTURES will be taken between services during October. Also, if you have a new name, address, or phone, simply submit a GREEN directory update card. PLEASE help us keep the directory useful with current info.
5. Our Harvest BBQ is coming on October 27th at 6 pm. It will feature our BBQ MEAT BUFFET, complete with sides and pies. Along with that good food, and fun fellowship, there will be lots of LAUGHS with our guest Robert G. Lee! Robert is a highly acclaimed, in-demand, very funny, clean, Christian comedian. The HARVEST BBQ is one of those events that you can safely use to introduce unchurched family and friends to Jesus and Jubilee. The cost is $15. Space is limited, so sign up at the Welcome Center.
6. ATTENTION, NO CARVE PUMPKIN DECORATORS – Please drop off your masterpiece this Saturday, October 21 at the church between 10-11:30 AM.
7. Operation Christmas Child is in full swing! Boxes are ready for you to pick up in the back of the sanctuary or by the Welcome Center. We plan to prepare 575 boxes this year! Please, take a box and pray over it as you fill it with “joy” for a child whom you may meet someday in heaven. The shoebox gifts will be collected starting Sunday, October 29 through November 12.
8. FLASH NEWS from our OCC coordinator, Nancy Drake. This year’s Operation Christmas Child packing party is set for Monday, November 13 from 9a – 12p. Many hands will make for light work.
9. Our Men’s Breakfast and Bible study meets every Thursday at 6 a.m. Guys – this time is vital to your spiritual health. When it comes to a stronger walk with Jesus- learn the power of prayer, worship, Bible study, and fellowship, topped off with a great breakfast! (Donation $5) Bring a friend with you. First-time friends are FREE.
10. Women’s Bible Study in ROMANS continues this Wednesday. Meet and greet is at 9:30 AM, and the study begins at 10 AM. Enjoy sweet fellowship, joyful praise, and life-challenging study of God’s Word.
11. All are welcome to join a Bible Alive (Sunday School) class, anytime. We have four classes with the following studies:
- Bill Abeyta – Prophecy and Current Events
- Pam Merillat – Discovering Good News in John
- Richard Abbey – Romans
- Jim Merillat – Luke
Classes begin at 8:45 AM on Sunday Mornings. Come join the time of study, fellowship, and prayer.
12. This Sunday, Pastor Leonard will be teaching again from the book of James. The Theme: Wars in Christ’s Church. Satan has been seeking to discredit or destroy the Church for years. One of his tools is “infighting” in the body of Christ. Hope you will be present.

- Sunday, December 10– The Jubilee Choir Christmas Presentation at both services.
- Friday, December 15 @ 6 PM – Our Jubilee Christmas Dinner. This year’s program will feature the joyful sound of HIS Quartet.
