Men’s Breakfast & Bible Study, every Thursday at 6 AM. Men – this Thursday we will begin a new series in the book of Proverbs. This book is all about the wisdom God gave Solomon when he became king. Let me encourage you to bring a friend.
Pre-Service Prayer Time, in Pastor Leonard’s office every Sunday at 9:30 AM. We would love to have you join us.
NEW SERIES in Pastor Jim’s Bible Alive Class. Starting this Sunday morning, at 8:45 AM, you are invited to join the first of the new series … a study of the Gospel of Luke. Luke, a highly educated man — trained as a doctor, tells us in the first four verses of his book that he wrote it so we would have the true and complete story of Jesus’ life. Come and join us this Sunday morning in the “Music Room” (It’s the last door on your right as you go down the class hallway.) Study guides will be provided.
Prayer Time, every Thursday, we meet in the Worship Center from noon to 1 PM for prayer. We pray for our leadership and different ministries. We pray for our local and global missionaries. We pray for people in our church who are in need of prayer. We pray for marriages and for our national leaders. Lastly, we anoint and pray for those who have special needs. We would love to have you join us for all or even part of that hour.
Movie Night, Friday, November 19th at 6 PM. We will be showing “The Case for Christ.” It is on the life story of Lee Strobel, a former atheist, and his quest to prove that the Christian faith was not real. As an investigative journalist, with a legal degree, the evidence kept piling up to the point he could no longer deny Christ, the Truth. If you have friends who are not saved, please bring them.
Never Underestimate the Potential of Prayer. In Proverbs 21:1 (NLT) we read: “The king’s heart is like a stream of water directed by the LORD; He guides it wherever He pleases.”
When we pray, we are sharing with our God who is all-knowing, all-powerful, ever-present, and unchanging. He knows exactly what we need. Our prayers are not limited by time or space. Prayer opens the door to God’s throne-room inviting Him to use His impeccable wisdom and limitless power to meet our requests. We have a terrific advantage. People may ignore our appeals, or reject us personally, but there is nothing they can do to hinder our prayers. Our prayers go directly to God from our hearts, and like a river, God can change the course of history through prayer.
Be yourself before God and He will honor you.
Your faithful stewardship is much appreciated! Our operating expenses, as a church, never stop – whether we meet together or not. We have a monthly lease payment, utilities, salaries, office supplies, improvements, etc., etc. I just want you to know I thank God for you and your faithfulness in giving.
We miss you! At least 1/3 of our church family has not returned. Again, I encourage you to come to the 11:30 service where there is lots of room., God Bless you!
