Christmas is a great time to invite family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers to church. People are often more willing to attend church at Christmas time than at any other time of the year. Inviting is simply part of building relationships. You don’t need to sell hard. Prayerfully extend the invite and let the Holy Spirit draw them.
ADVENT BEGAN ON SUNDAY, DECEMBER 1.
Our theme: NOT SOLD IN STORES: The Best Christmas Presents Ever. As we prepare to celebrate Christ’s birth, we’ll focus on those God-Given gifts that we cannot buy in stores, but that Jesus brought when He came into our world: peace, joy, service, and love. This coming Sunday, we will focus on JOY.

A memorial for Joanne will be held on Saturday, December 14, at 10 AM at Reality Church, now located on Ralston (formerly Ventura Baptist).

VERY GOOD NEWS from Pastor Leonard …
As you may know, our building was sold. It closed escrow at the end of November. Our prior lease stated that we had the option of a two-year lease extension, beginning at the end of May 2025. We received word yesterday that the new owners will honor that extension and are interested in future extensions with Jubilee. This is a real answer to prayer. Let’s all rejoice and give glory to God!
ONE MORE WAY TO SERVE OUR COMMUNITY THIS CHRISTMAS!
We can embrace the joy of giving this Christmas season by supporting the Ventura Community Christmas Shoppe, hosted by Orchard Community Church. Between now and December 8, donate a new unwrapped toy(s) that is given with Christ-centered love. A giving box, along with VCCS brochures, has been placed in the foyer by the info table. Imagine the happiness you’ll bring to low-income families with your simple gift, as they shop in the SHOPPE on December 14.
