To review what I shared last week, the inspiration of Scripture refers to God’s direction to the human authors of the Bible to compose and record His message to humanity in their original writings.
Based on Scripture passages, I shared several “Truths”…
The Truth about:
Salvation; Our Assurance; Fear; Temptation; Trials; Pride; Anger; Justice and Wisdom.
Today, I will present a few more “Truths.”
1. The truth about our security. Romans 8:38-39 – And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
2. The truth about power. Philippians 4:13 – For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
In Mark 10:27, Jesus said to His disciples – “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God.”
3. The truth about peace. We all need this.
In Matthew 5:9, Jesus taught – “God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called children of God.
In Philippians 4:7, the Apostle Paul wrote – “Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
In John 14:27 NKJV, Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
4. The truth about ourselves.
Paul, in Romans 3:23 – “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.”
In 1 Corinthians 15:58, Paul wrote – “So my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.”
So, my precious brothers and sisters, as you review these truths, let’s follow the exhortation of Paul in Colossians 3:16-17 – “Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives.
Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom He gives. Sing Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him, to God the Father.”
And all of us together say “Amen!”
Blessings,
Pastor Leonard
