“At the end of the day, whether my prayer leads to healing or not, I know that Jesus will always bring wholeness. Wholeness is that state of being in which one can be at peace with his or her painful circumstances and with God because of the faith that God is at work in all situations.”
- I believe that nothing is impossible with God. Mark 9:23-24
- I believe in a God who still works miracles today. Matthew 7:7-8 – Jesus says to “ask… seek… knock.”
- I believe that God hears every prayer. Proverbs 15:29, Jeremiah 33:3; Ephesians 3:12
- I believe in the power of prayer. James 5:16-18; Ephesians 6:18-19, Matthew 18:20
- I believe that Jesus still saves, heals, restores, and renews people today, through His church. John 14:12
- I believe that God brings healing to our lives through His Word. Ephesians 5:26
- I believe that the Holy Spirit sometimes will guide us to the answers to prayers.
- I believe that the church exists to display God’s healing power to the world. Mark 16:17; John 14:12
- I believe that every Christian is a conduit of healing love to others. Luke 5:20; Matthew 8:13, and the healing accounts in the book of Acts.
- I believe that God gives special grace during times of suffering. Paul’s prayer for deliverance from the thorn in his flesh was denied; but God said, “My grace is sufficient for you, My power is made perfect in your weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9).
- I believe that wholeness, through Jesus, comes by faith:
- The faith of friends – Luke 5:20
- The faith of family – Luke 8:41-42
- The faith of a follower of Jesus – Acts 3:6
- The faith of the sick person – Mark 5:28
- God’s direct intervention – Luke 13:12-13
- I believe my ultimate healing is eternal life with Jesus Christ.
